If you are looking for a quiet place in Beijing that is full of history and impressive architecture, Miaoying Temple, also known as the White Pagoda Temple, is a must-see. 

Located in Beijing’s Xicheng district, the temple is notable for its tall white pagoda, built in 1279 during the Yuan Dynasty and designed by Nepalese architect Arniko on the orders of Kublai Khan. 

There are several Buddha statues to worship inside the temple, including the Sankajaya and the Thousand-Handed Guanyin. There is also a hall that displays Buddhist scriptures and other valuable religious items.

There are also many souvenir and gift shops around the temple, so you can pick up some meaningful and unique souvenirs to take home.

The temple is easily accessible. You can take subway line 2 to Fuchengmen Station and walk about 600 meters, or take bus line 3, 13, 42, 101, 102, 103, 409, or 612 to Bai Ta Si Dong Station and walk about 400 meters.
