Strolling through Daisetsuzan National Park in Hokkaido

Located in central Hokkaido, Daisetsuzan National Park is the largest national park in Japan. 🌄

It features a spectacular complex of Big Snow Mountain volcanoes, surrounded by a plethora of alpine plants and wildlife, hiking trails, and hot springs to soak in! 😌♨️

The park is most famous for the highest peak in Hokkaido - Asahide (2,291 meters above sea level), with cherry blossoms and alpine plants blooming in summer, the picture is super beautiful; every year in mid-September, the autumn leaf season unfolds, the red, orange and yellow mountain scenery is really chill, great for photography ~ 🍁

Open: Year-round (some hiking trails and cable cars are open seasonally)
Access: Take a bus or drive for about 1.5 hours from Asahikawa JR Station
Suggested itinerary: Asahitake Cable Car → Alpine Botanical Garden → Hiking Autumn Leaves Trail → Hot Spring Experience
