Shirakawa-go Snowy Scenery

Shirakawa-go in Gifu Prefecture is a renowned UNESCO World Heritage Site. Each season offers its own unique charm, but personally, I love visiting during winter when the snow blankets the village. From the observation deck, the view resembles a romantic and beautiful fairy tale scene. You can also explore the interiors of the gassho-style houses, making it perfect for a half-day trip to experience the beauty of this place. Although it is quite far from the city, I highly recommend setting aside a day to visit!
