Charter a tuk-tuk for a day and head to the Angkor Wat.

As of 2023, a one-day ticket costs $37 + tuk-tuk charter fee.

You need to get up at 4am to see the sunrise.

The weather in Southeast Asia is changeable, so it may be a miracle to be able to see the ruins with a beautiful sunrise in the background.

It was cloudy and I didn't even know when the sun rose😭

The most beautiful was Ta Prohm, which is rumored to be the world of Laputa and was used as a location for Tomb Raider.

It was a mysterious space where nature and architecture have merged over the years, as if they would not have existed without the roots of the trees to begin with, and civilization was being swallowed up by nature...🌿🌳

Just being able to see this was enough to make me think that coming to Siem Reap was worth it.

(I would like to go to Preah Vihear, the temple in the sky, someday...)
