Bodbe's St. Nino's Convent Cathedral

Bodbe Monastery, Monastery of St. Nino of Bodbe

Located in Sighnaghi, a small mountain town,

Established in the 9th century but completely renovated in the 17th century, it is now a nunnery dedicated to St. Nino, a 4th century evangelist.

The tomb of St. Nino is enshrined in the monastery.

The monastery is situated amidst tall cypress trees on a steep hillside.

It overlooks the Alazani Valley, which also offers views of the North Caucasus Mountains.
