This hotel is a must-stay in Suzhou, great value for money!

Second stay at Shangri-La Suzhou Yuanqu ☺️
There are two Shangri-La hotels in Suzhou, and I prefer the one in Yuanqu. It's newer and there are more activities nearby. Let me share my experience of staying here twice!

The new Chinese style of the Yuanqu hotel is quite beautiful, not too business-like. The standard king room is quite large, and I really like the dedicated dressing table area, which is well designed. The toiletries are Shangri-La's own small bottles, which I prefer because they feel safer to use.

The service is good and enthusiastic, and they basically greet and guide you. The breakfast is quite standard, and I recommend going to the nearby Tongdexing in Yuanqu! It's a noodle shop that you can't go wrong with in Suzhou! I also tried the Chinese restaurant Xiyuan in the Shangri-La Suzhou Yuanqu, and the environment is better than the taste. It's not a must-try option.

Overall, I was satisfied with both stays. The hotel is located in GCL Plaza, and there are business districts such as Eslite, Shin Kong Place, and Yuanrong nearby. It's a bustling area in Hudong. However, I have to complain about the underground parking lot. The signs are not very clear, and it took me a long time to find the hotel elevator hall. I hope there will be a more prominent sign!
