Today, I plan to hike in the mountains. I woke up at 5:30 am and gathered at the Danyang Municipal Government at 7:00 am. We set off on time, heading to Guangfu in Suzhou to climb Dengwei Mountain. We started ascending at 9:44 am and descended around 2:00 pm. The actual mountain climbing was minimal, with a portion of the route being paved roads. This was my first hiking experience, and I enjoyed it. I also saw the beautiful Taihu Lake, with several small boats on it for sightseeing and photo opportunities. There were many guesthouses by the lake, uniquely decorated in the distinctive Suzhou style. Against the backdrop of Taihu Lake, these small villas and guesthouses showcased a charming Jiangnan design. The nature of hiking meant we were busy on the trail, with little time to appreciate the scenery. We had a quick lunch on the mountain around noon. After a hurried hike, we descended around 2:00 pm. There were two plum trees in front of the Xiangxuehai gate, which I'd like to share with you. Afterward, we took a bus and transferred to the subway to spend a few days in Suzhou.
