Suzhou’s majestic hydrangea season has quietly begun, and it’s nothing short of breathtaking! This isn’t Japan’s Kamakura or Korea’s Jeju Island—this is Suzhou's Shangfang Mountain Forest Park!
The park boasts a 10-meter-long hydrangea flower wall, creating a stunning early summer landscape. The vibrant colors of the blooms make it feel like summer arrived early! 🌞
Flowering Season:
Typically, hydrangeas bloom between June and August. However, this year, during the Suzhou Shangfang Mountain Flower Festival (also known as the Hundred Flower Festival), the artificially cultivated hydrangeas bloomed around April. The best time to visit is from mid-April to mid-May, with the next month being the perfect time to enjoy the flowers in full bloom!
Must-See Spots:
The Hydrangea Flower Wall:
In front of the Zhong Baihua Hall, you’ll find a stunning 10-meter-long flower wall made up of endless summer varieties in pink, purple, and blue hues. The combination of solid, gradient, and mixed colors creates the perfect backdrop for photos.
The Main Exhibition Area:
Another hydrangea flower wall features new varieties and is adorned with white European-style benches, making it an ideal spot for a photoshoot.
Wisteria Corridor:
At the end of the wisteria-covered walkway, you’ll find a field of wooden hydrangeas, harmoniously blending with a sea of canola flowers. It’s a sight that will take your breath away.
Dream Garden:
A beautiful fusion of classical garden design and modern aesthetics, featuring winding wooden walkways that connect several themed gardens.
