Revisiting the Wenchang Pavilion in Taohuawu

【Introduction】: The Wenchang Pavilion in the Taohuawu historical and cultural area of Suzhou can be reached from the north by heading west from the Suzhou Art Museum to the Suzhou Kunqu Opera Theater, then south to Puyu Garden, and then southwest to the south gate of the scenic area. This route is on an asphalt road. From the east, you can go west from the Nanmen Road intersection of Bao'en Temple, via Taohuawu Street, and ride to the south gate of the scenic area (friends from other places without a car can rent a shared bike), but the whole road is paved with bricks, so the ride will be bumpy. If you want to visit the classic spot at Beisi Pagoda, it is recommended to go around 1–2pm on a day with blue skies and white clouds.

🕘【Opening Hours】: Open as usual

💴【Ticket Price】: No ticket needed. The Taohuawu Art Museum next to it charges CNY 98, which is super expensive. Tang Yin's former residence is free.

🚌【Transportation】: Take the subway to Beisita Station on Line 4, Exit 5, and then walk 1 km to the block.

👉【Itinerary】: Bao'en Temple, Tang Yin's former residence, Wenchang Pavilion.

🧡【Things to Prepare】: It is best to have an electric bike in the old city of Suzhou. As a tourist, combine buses, public bicycles, shared bikes, subways, taxis, and walking.
