Testing Out the Lingbai Trail

The weekend weather was perfect 🌤, so I headed to Suzhou's Lingyan Mountain to try out the legendary super popular Lingbai hiking trail!

⛰️ Detailed Route:
1. Enter the mountain from Lingyan Mountain's main gate (📍Address: Lingyan Mountain Road, Mudu Town, Wuzhong District, Suzhou)
2. Follow the trail straight to the summit
3. From Lingyan Temple Garden exit, head toward Dajiao Mountain

🔍 Hiking Experience:
✦ Front mountain section has more tourists
✦ Quieter once entering mountain paths (occasionally passing handsome hikers 😳)
✦ Pass through granite rock piles + gravel paths (this part was super fun!)
✦ Even with tree shade 🌳, still sweated buckets in 30°C+ summer heat 💦

🤦‍♀️ Fail Moment:
Started off thinking it'd be easy 😎
Got scared at the sign in Figure 16 👉🏻👈🏻
Ended up not completing the full route (awkwardly circling back around Lingyan Mountain...), but vowed: next time for sure! [Facepalm]

💡 Tips:
1. Suitable for beginners but not complete newbies
2. Bring 1L+ water in summer
3. Wear proper hiking shoes (those gravel paths are slippery!)
4. For full route completion, bring an experienced guide
