Sveti Stefan: The Island That Became a Symbol of Montenegro

#hellohalloween

Sveti Stefan is visible from afar. A narrow isthmus connects the cliff to the mainland, and on it lie stone houses with tiled roofs, immersed in greenery. When the sun sets, the entire island is bathed in a soft golden light, reflected in the water.

This was once a fishing village. Then the island became a luxury resort, visited by Marilyn Monroe, Sophia Loren, and Elizabeth Taylor. It's now part of the Aman Sveti Stefan hotel, but even if you don't live there, it's worth a visit.

📍 Location: 9 km south of Budva, Adriatic coast, Montenegro.
🕐 When to go: May to October – the sea is warm in summer and the isthmus is open; spring and fall offer mild light and few tourists.
