During my visit to Taichung, I stumbled upon a delightful Letterpress Printing Event right inside Taichung Train Station. It was a creative surprise amid the city’s bustling transit hub — a small pop-up filled with vintage printing presses, wooden type blocks, and beautifully crafted paper goods.

Visitors could try their hand at traditional printing, pressing their own postcard or bookmark using classic letterpress machines. The friendly staff guided each step, making it easy even for beginners. The satisfying feel of the inked paper and the rhythmic sound of the press made it a charming, nostalgic experience.

This event added a touch of artistry to an ordinary train stop — blending Taichung’s rich cultural heritage with modern creativity. It’s a quick, meaningful activity you can enjoy between travels, and a great way to bring home a personalized souvenir.
