When it comes to value for money among Taipei's five-star hotels, the Renaissance Taipei Shihlin Hotel definitely scores high! Located in the prime spot right in front of Shilin Residence, the hotel offers an exceptional view of lush greenery and mountains. It's rare to find such natural scenery in the city, so it deserves a thumbs up!

The first floor of the hotel features the lobby, Shihlin Kitchen buffet, Wanli Xuan Chinese restaurant, and Tea Lab for afternoon tea. The lobby design exudes understated luxury, showcasing a sense of high-end elegance without being ostentatious. It's refined and sophisticated, which I really appreciate.

The room I stayed in was a mountain view deluxe room with a view. The 31-square-meter space isn't large, but it's exquisitely decorated with attention to detail. The soundproofing is good, there's a large bathtub, and the best part is the view from the window, overlooking the entire Shilin Residence.

A night on a weekday costs around 7500 TWD. High-tier members get breakfast included and can enjoy the executive lounge on the 9th floor. The Renaissance offers good hardware and software facilities and service quality, with prices being mid-range among Taipei's star-rated hotels. Overall, it's a good value for money.
