Must-Try Mango Shaved Ice at Ningxia Night Market

After enjoying savory dishes at the night market, especially on a hot day, you must cool down with a bowl of mango shaved ice. We randomly picked an ice shop located right at the entrance of the night market. The shop offers a wide variety of icy treats, sweet soups, and drinks to choose from.

We ordered their signature Mango Shaved Ice and the Taro Mixed Douhua (tofu pudding).

The mango shaved ice was on the sweeter side, and they were very generous with the mango portions. The combination of mango, ice cream, and shaved ice was incredibly refreshing.

The Taro Mixed Douhua was packed with various toppings, including peanuts, mung beans, red beans, tapioca pearls, and grass jelly. The douhua itself had a soft, mochi-like texture. We chose the taro milk base, which wasn’t overly sweet or heavy. Even our Korean friend commented that it tasted healthy! 🤣

Highly recommend stopping by this shop for a bowl of icy dessert when you’re tired from exploring the market.
