Introduction: The Former Residence of Qian Mu, also known as Su Shu Lou or Waishuangxi Guesthouse, is located in the Waishuangxi campus of Soochow University in Shilin District, Taipei City, Taiwan. It served as the residence and teaching site of Qian Mu, a renowned scholar of Chinese studies, from 1968 after he moved to Taiwan. In 1990, Qian Mu relocated due to his involvement in the former mayor Kao Yu-shu's official residence case, and he passed away a few months later. The building was subsequently used as a municipal library and is now designated as a municipal memorial building, maintained by Taipei City University.
