🌧️ A Rainy Day Trip to Jiufen and Taipei Zoo
During my trip to Taiwan, a light rain fell from the morning. However, the weather actually gave me hope that it would be a special day.
☕ Jiufen
As soon as I got off the bus, wet cobblestone streets and alleys unfolded before my eyes. Cloudy mist enveloped the mountains, and red lanterns twinkled, the scenery was like a scene from a movie.
Shops and teahouses lined the narrow alleys, and I strolled leisurely, savoring almond tofu and sweet fritters. Wearing a hood was more convenient than carrying an umbrella, and the rain thinned out the crowds, allowing me to explore at my own pace.
The sea and mountain views from the observation deck, in particular, felt even more mystical in the fog. Every time I took a photo, I felt like I was in a painting.
🐼 Taipei Zoo
In the afternoon, I headed to the Taipei Zoo. While the rain limited access to the outdoor areas, there were plenty of indoor exhibits, so it was still enjoyable. First, I headed to the Panda House, and the sight of the adorable giant pandas feeding brought a smile to my face. I also toured the Tropical and Insectariums, allowing me to observe a variety of animals up close and personal.
Because it was rainy, I was able to see the animals more actively, and the weather made the experience even more captivating.

In conclusion, I realized that traveling on a rainy day actually offers a different kind of charm. From the mystical fog and lanterns of Jiufen to the leisurely animal viewing inside the zoo, the day was especially memorable.
