Taipei Dongmen Food｜Yongkang Beef Noodles + Mango Ice

On Thursday night, my family and I strolled down Yongkang Street. ✨ Our first stop was the incredibly popular local restaurant, "Yongkang Beef Noodles." 🍜 Even though it was a weeknight, we still had to wait in line for a full half-hour to get a table!

My husband ordered the braised broth, which was rich and slightly spicy, while I ordered the clear stew, which was also delicious. The beef was tender and flavorful, and the noodles were chewy. (Sorry, I only realized I forgot to take a photo halfway through.)
While I thought it was delicious, I personally think another famous Taipei restaurant, Lin Dongfang Beef Noodles, is even better! The broth has a hint of Chinese medicinal herbs, making it more fragrant and richer. 😍

However, Yongkang Beef Noodles has a huge variety of side dishes at a reasonable price, which is a real win!
And the steamed pork ribs with rice flour are a must-try. They're incredibly authentic and every table gets a serving. You must try them! 👍 I'd wait in line just for them...

After finishing our savory treats, we headed straight to the nearby "Mango Smoothie Ice Cream" 🥭🍧
Of course, we ordered the signature "Super Sherbet Mango Ice Cream." It was a feast for the three of us. The generous portion of mango, the fluffy ice cream, and the accompanying scoop of mango ice cream created a refreshing, sour, and refreshing treat that's no wonder it's a must-try dessert for tourists.

It's a 100% eye-catching photo opportunity 📸. However, since it's past mango season, the shop did inform us that the mangoes are frozen, so there's a slight difference in texture compared to fresh mangoes. 😅

Yongkang Street is perfect for a stroll and a bite. The beef noodles and mango ice cream—a perfect balance of salty and sweet—made for a perfect finish!
