Located in Taipei's Da'an District, L’IDIOT GRILL & PASTA (Fu Le Hotel Taipei) is conveniently situated on the first floor of the hotel, boasting excellent transportation access and a prominent location.
The restaurant's name, "L’IDIOT," reflects the hope that guests can dine with the carefree spirit of a "silly donkey," letting go of their worries.
The ambiance is European Italian style, featuring a semi-open kitchen, high-ceilinged mirrored walls, and ornate crystal chandeliers. The soft lighting during meals makes it ideal for gatherings or celebrations.
The most popular dishes are probably the tomahawk pork chops and Boston lobster risotto, both Italian oven-baked dishes. The portions are very generous, making for a satisfying meal for groups! The dishes are generally elaborate and heavily seasoned. My personal favorite is the gnocchi, and the pasta is also quite good.
Located in Taipei’s Da’an District, L’IDIOT Grill & Pasta at Hotel PROVERBS Taipei offers a chic European-style dining experience perfect for gatherings or romantic dates. The restaurant’s name, “L’IDIOT,” playfully suggests being carefree and relaxed—an invitation for guests to enjoy their meal without worry.
The interior features elegant details such as an open kitchen, mirrored walls, and soft ambient lighting, creating a warm yet sophisticated atmosphere. Signature dishes include the Tomahawk Pork Chop and Boston Lobster Risotto, both highlights of their Italian grill cuisine. Portions are generous, bold flavors, and presentation beautifully refined. For those who prefer lighter options, their pasta selections are also well-balanced and flavorful.
