Stone Umbrella is located on County Road 11 in Chenggong County, Taitung County. The limestone promontory is nearly 1 kilometer long. There were originally several umbrella-shaped sea erosion rock pillars near the shore of the promontory, so it was called Stone Umbrella. Currently, only an isolated Stone Umbrella remains. The Stone Umbrella is a special sea erosion landform on the eastern coast. It is the result of long-term erosion by wind and rain over the years, forming a shape that is thin at the bottom and wide at the top, resembling an open umbrella. Shen Wencheng has a song called "Come and Go to Taitung" which has made the Stone Umbrella, a well-known scenic spot in Taitung, well-known to everyone. You can reach the sea erosion area by following the wooden plank trail next to the scenic pavilion. Standing on top and overlooking the magnificent Pacific Ocean and the green coastal mountains in the sky, listening to the sound of the waves carefully is a different feeling.
