🏕Nishi Honganji Square in Taipei is a place full of history and Japanese charm. Located in the bustling Ximending district, it offers surprisingly peacefulness. It used to be the home of the largest Shin temple in Taiwan during the Japanese occupation. Although most of the temple was destroyed by fire, some beautifully restored parts remain, such as the bell tower, which stands prominently on a high hill, and the Rinbansho building, which used to be the residence of the head priest, which is now renovated into a teahouse or art gallery, allowing visitors to experience the atmosphere of ancient Japanese culture in the heart of Taipei.
⛺️This square is therefore a great place to relax, take photos, and learn about history, whether you are a fan of old architecture or someone looking to escape the hustle and bustle of the shopping district to find some peace. Conveniently located near Ximen MRT Station, Nishi Honganji Square is another interesting destination for tourists who want to experience another side of Taipei with both historical beauty and a relaxing atmosphere.
