[Yakimanju] A fragrant trip to taste Gunma's soul food at a long-established restaurant

A yakimanju specialty restaurant founded in the late Edo period in Maebashi City, Gunma Prefecture.
It is about a 30-minute walk from JR Maebashi Station, or about 15 minutes by car from the Maebashi IC on the Kanetsu Expressway.
A fluffy manju skewer is smeared with a sweet and spicy miso sauce and grilled over a charcoal fire to create a fragrant skewer.
The restaurant has an open hearth and tatami seats, so you can enjoy freshly baked buns in a traditional atmosphere.
When I actually visited, I was drawn in by the fragrant aroma and took a bite, and was moved by the simple yet deep flavor.
With just one bite, I understood why it is said to be the soul food of Gunma Prefecture residents.
There are also souvenir sets, so you can recreate the experience at home.
