π·π¬πͺ First time experiencing Georgian food in Tbilisi! πβ¨
My first trip to Georgia, I had to try some local food! The restaurant I went to was called Zodiaqo in the capital city of Tbilisi. ποΈ It's a small, cozy place with a comfortable atmosphere. It's full of locals, and the food comes quickly. The staff is friendly. β€οΈ
Georgian food focuses more on flour π« and cheese π§ than meat or protein. If you're a flour lover, you'll love it. But if you're not a fan of salty cheese, you might want to be prepared. π
Wine is so cheap! π·π Almost every house in Georgia grows wine grapes. You'll see grapevines everywhere along the road. π There were even grapevines growing in front of the restaurant!
π Menu Items We Ordered (with approximate prices):
Khachapuri - Georgian baked cheese bread 3.00 lari
Sparkling Lemonade 0.25L - Lemonade and soda 4.00 lari
α (not clear, but the price is 14.00 lari, likely a meat dish or soup)
Chicken Schnitzel - European-style fried chicken 12.00 lari
Bread - 5 slices of bread (1.50 lari each, total 7.50 lari)
Mushroom Dish - Sauteed or baked mushrooms 10.00 lari
Grilled Vegetables - Grilled vegetables 18.00 lari
π° Total before tax: 68.50 lari
πΈ 10% tax: 6.85 lari
π§Ύ Total: 75.35 lari (~1,000 Thai baht)
π― Overall Experience:
β
Great atmosphere
β
Large portions
β
Good price
β οΈ The flavors may be unfamiliar to Thais (especially the salty cheese)
β
Worth a try!
π Anyone visiting Georgia must try this local restaurant! You'll realize that the food here is just as charming as anywhere else. β¨
