The long-awaited Guoqing Temple!
After wanting to visit Guoqing Temple for a long time, I finally went during the last two days of the holiday! The area around Guoqing Temple is full of pastoral scenery, with lotus ponds, rice fields, and cows plowing the land. Inside, it is very quiet and full of Zen atmosphere. Walking up the steps slowly through the historic buildings, you can also smell bursts of osmanthus fragrance. The well-preserved brick pagoda can rival the Tiger Hill Pagoda in Suzhou! It’s recommended to go early in the morning, wear a mamian skirt or other traditional Chinese clothing, and enjoy the scenery along the way in the morning light. The scene feels a bit like something out of a movie!
