Tiger Leaping Gorge is located between Lijiang and Shangri-La in Yunnan Province and is one of the deepest gorges in China. Early in the morning, we headed straight to the Upper Tiger Leaping area to admire the roaring Jinsha River and the majestic cliffs, which are the main attractions for many visitors. According to legend, a tiger once descended from the mountains and, with a single leap from a rock in the river, easily crossed the gorge. Since then, the gorge has been called 'Tiger Leaping Gorge,' and the rock in the river is known as 'Tiger Leaping Rock.'
In the afternoon, we took a car to Tea Horse Guesthouse. After filling our stomachs, we began a short hike. The scenery along the way was so captivating and unforgettable that it lingered in our minds long after.
