⛩️Introduction to the shrine
Ibe Shrine, whose deity is Amenohiwashi-no-Mikoto, is said to be the Abe Ibe clan, whose descendants are said to be Amenohiwashi-no-Mikoto.
They are said to be a group belonging to the Ibe clan, who were responsible for the rituals of the ancient imperial court, and have been responsible for the heavy responsibility of preparing hemp fabrics called "aratae" that are offered to the Yukiden and Sukiden within the Daijokyu Palace during the Daijosai festival of successive emperors! (Although it was once discontinued, it has continued since Emperor Taisho to the present day)
Ibe Shrine, which was responsible for the national rituals, was burned down during the Sengoku period and its location is unknown. So a dispute over the genealogy of the Imbe clan broke out.
Gose Shrine in Mima County and Imbe Shrine in Yoshinogawa City. In order to settle the dispute between the two shrines, a new shrine site was established halfway between the two shrines. Since then, it has been located at its current location since 1892.
🗺️Points on the grounds
・There are long and steep stone steps, so watch your step⚠️
・It's not flashy, but you can enjoy the solemn atmosphere.
💗Thoughts about the shrine
The shrine is located on higher ground than I expected! There were not many people there and the shrine office was deserted, but someone came out via the intercom and I was able to receive a written goshuin.
