Yanaka is one of Tokyo’s most charming neighborhoods, perfect for a slow day of wandering through cafés, flower shops, and little boutiques. It’s a mix of retro vibes and cozy discoveries that make every stop feel special.
Our first stop was Le coin, a flower shop with a café tucked inside. If you love antiques and blossoms, this place is a must. The interior is warm and romantic, and the sweets are as delicious as they are beautiful. I tried the peach parfait, which looked almost too pretty to eat.
Next, we headed to spiq, a stylish café famous for seasonal cakes and desserts. Their strawberry shortcake and vacherin are especially popular, and the option to enjoy them on the terrace makes it even better.
Finally, no Yanaka trip is complete without a visit to Yanaka-dō, a shop overflowing with cat-themed goods. From trinkets to ornaments, it’s a paradise for cat lovers. We couldn’t resist taking home a small cat figurine as a souvenir.
