The most Tokyo-like place in Tokyo

The most vibrant moment of my Tokyo trip was in Shibuya. The scramble crossing, with its countless people crossing simultaneously, feels like a scene from a movie. From the footsteps of people, to the neon signs, to the constant beat of music, Shibuya embodies the rhythm of Tokyo itself.
With shopping, dining, and entertainment all in one place, the area is so packed that a day can fly by. MIYASHITA PARK is a great place to catch your breath while gazing at the city from its rooftop, and as you stroll along the streets, you'll discover new brand shops and unique cafes.
Travel Tips
• The scramble crossing is perfectly photographed from the second floor of Starbucks. • The atmosphere is best in the evening when the lights come on. • The Hachiko statue is recommended for the morning (less crowded).
• The best walking route: Shibuya → Harajuku → Omotesando.
Shibuya is complex but comfortable, noisy but exciting. If you want to feel the pulse of Tokyo up close, there's no better place to do it.
