Fresh from my Lingshui trip, I've stayed up late to summarize some personal experiences hoping to help everyone.

✅ Transportation Guide
🚅 No direct airport to Lingshui—only accessible by high-speed rail/train.
✈️ Fly directly to Sanya and transfer: First, fly to Sanya Phoenix International Airport, then take a bullet train to Lingshui Station.
✈️ Fly directly to Haikou and transfer: Lingshui is quite a distance from Haikou, but there are direct bullet trains with great value.
🚗 Self-drive: Convenient for travel, especially enjoyable for group trips.
🚌 Bus: Scenic spots are far apart, not ideal for tight schedules.
🛵 E-bike: Around ¥50/day, great value, perfect for afternoon outings.

🔹 Choose locations near downtown or attractions for easier transportation.
🔹 For sea-view rooms, opt for higher floors.
🔹 Book early during holidays/peak seasons—prices double, and rooms sell out fast.

📍 Nanwan Monkey Island: Home to 1,500 macaques—don’t miss the cable car ride for a bird’s-eye view of the Danjia Fishing Village! 🎫 Ticket: ¥154 (includes cable car/ferry).
📍 Dazed Island: Hainan’s most artistic and picturesque island, featuring pink buses, vintage blue cars, seaside swings, and a white chapel—every shot is Instagram-worthy! 🎫 Ticket: ¥96 (includes ferry + shuttle).
📍 Danjia Fishing Village: Dubbed "China’s Sea Gypsies," 600 floating boat houses form a breathtaking village. A must-see! 🎫 Free.
📍 Freedom Lighthouse: Hainan’s most beautiful lighthouse, featured in *Lost in the Stars*.
✔️ Address: Navigate to "Agile·Clearwater Bay Bihai Fanying." Drive along Haisi Road to the lighthouse (10-min walk). Usually blocked—use a drone or shoot from Clearwater Bay beach. Staff-free before 7 AM! 🎫 Free.
📍 Clearwater Bay: A 12km coastline with crystal-clear waters, sandy beaches, reefs, and photo-worthy setups.

📍 The Lonely House: A blue house standing alone on coastal rocks—perfect for photos.
✔️ Address: Navigate to "Wyndham Clearwater Bay Hotel." Take the right-hand coastal path and walk left to spot it. 🎫 Free.

🍜 Local Eats: Lingshui sour noodles, Qiongzhou fermented vinegar soup, Hainan qingbuliang, coconut chicken, seafood, tropical fruits, and more.

⚠️ Travel Tips
✔️ Lingshui suits slow-paced travel—skip tours and rent a car.
✔️ Inspect rental cars thoroughly for scratches; record a video, especially of hidden spots.
✔️ At Nanwan Monkey Island, avoid holding food or rummaging bags—monkeys are smart and may snatch! Stay safe.
✔️ Ignore street touts offering cheap local tours—they often have hidden costs or poor conditions.
