It’s been 12 years since I last came to Wuhan.
When I returned this time,
a local friend said they wanted to arrange a special trip around Wuhan for me.
They said it would take 2 days and 1 night
to let me experience more sides of Wuhan.
This time, we headed straight to Mulan Mountain in Huangpi, Wuhan.

🏔 Wuhan 2-day 1-night surrounding travel route
D1: Wuhan city ➡️ Yuehe Linquan Homestay ➡️ Shandao Li (Wuhan’s “Thousand Island Lake”)
D2: Yuehe Linquan Homestay ➡️ Dayuwan Autumn Drying (Wuhan’s Little Wuyuan) ➡️ Wuhan city

My friend said Mulan Mountain is the weekend backyard garden for Wuhan people.
He absolutely feels it has the vibe of Moganshan.
He really likes this homestay; every time he comes here, he feels very relaxed and healed.
Listening to the wind in the forest and the dappled light,
having a forest therapy for body and mind and copying sutras,
the mind clears, and peace comes.

This place really looks like Wuhan’s Thousand Island Lake.
It’s about 20 minutes from Mulan Mountain.
You can completely lie down under the trees by the lake, drink coffee, and daydream—that’s a serious activity here.
You can also get active with kayaking and paddleboarding on the lake.
If you’re lucky, the sunset here is truly stunning.
Enjoying barbecue by the lake while feeling the lake breeze is really cozy.

🍂 Dayuwan Autumn Drying and Village Cafe
Autumn drying isn’t only in Wuyuan.
You can also feel this autumn vibe in Dayuwan.
I recommend going straight to VANAS Village Cafe here,
drinking coffee while surrounded by autumn drying.
The atmosphere is really on point!!
.
An unforgettable afternoon in Mulan Mountain,
sitting cross-legged in the forest,
sunlight filtering through the leaves casting dappled shadows,
makes me eagerly look forward to the coming autumn here.
