The scenic Zhongjiang Pagoda and the fun and colorful Squirrel Town (Anhui Province, China)

☆Recommended Spots for a Half-Day Tour of Wuhu City with Kids☆

☆Zhongjiang Tower, Overlooking the Yangtze and Qingyi Rivers, and the Adorable Theme Park, Pine Squirrel Town (Wuhu City, Anhui Province)

📍Zhongjiang Tower (Jinghu District, Wuhu City) is a 43.7-meter-tall, five-story, octagonal building built during the Ming and Qing dynasties.
The name is said to derive from the ancient practice of calling the Yangtze River Zhongjiang (中江) in the area below Jiujiang in Jiangxi Province and above Zhenjiang in Jiangsu Province.
The tower is located right at the mouth of the Qingyi River where it flows into the Yangtze, and a promenade has now been constructed around it.
This is a place where you can reminisce about the romantic history of the city while watching the ships passing by on the Yangtze River.

Also within walking distance are the 📍Zhongshan Road Pedestrian Street and the 📍Cathedral, and we recommend taking a leisurely stroll.
Personally, this is my favorite place in Wuhu.

By the way, the tower is quite tall, so when taking photos, turn your smartphone upside down and hold it closer to the ground to capture the entire area.

📍Squirrel Town (Yijiang District, Wuhu City)
📍Squirrel Town is an amusement park run by Sanshi Squirrel, a Chinese confectionery company famous for its nuts and dried fruits.
Apparently, they're currently in pre-opening mode, so admission is free.
It's a pay-as-you-go theme park with plenty of attractions, with plenty to explore. It's apparently very busy on weekends, but on weekdays, it's reasonably priced and you can enjoy it at your leisure.
Since the theme is squirrels, acorns are used in the decorations, and there are plenty of playful touches in the little details.
There are cafes and restaurants within the park, so you can have fun exploring all day long.
There's also a souvenir shop at the exit where you can buy some squirrel nuts, so I recommend picking up some souvenirs there.

☆While Wuhu has many other tourist attractions and parks, these two were the ones I really enjoyed visiting, so I hope you'll check them out too☺️☺️
