Day 1
🥾 Morning: Three Gorges Dragon Ridge Hiking
We chose an easy hiking route. Along the way, the rocks have all kinds of strange shapes—some look like little animals, others like cartoon characters. It was perfect for playing a “guess the shape” game with the kids. When tired, we rested at the viewing platform, watching sunlight stream through the clouds onto the mountains and listening to the rustling wind through the trees. The kids even spotted little squirrels 🐿️ hopping between the trees in the mountains.
Afternoon: Small San Gorge Boat Tour 🚢
First, we took a big boat 🚢 to tour Longmen Gorge, Bawu Gorge, and Dicui Gorge, where the peaks stand in a row. The kids observed fishing boats on the river and villages along the shore. Then we switched to a black-awning boat to explore the small San Gorge up close, admiring hanging coffins and stalactites, and even encountered some playful monkeys 🐒. The kids were so excited they danced with joy!

Day 2
🏔️ Morning: Shennu Scenic Area
We took a sightseeing bus up the mountain road. The scenery along the way unfolded like a slowly unrolling painting. At the viewing platform, pointing to the tall peak shrouded in mist, I said, “That’s Shennu Peak.” I told the kids an ancient legend, letting them experience the charm of culture through the beautiful scenery and story.
📚 Afternoon: Wushan Museum
There are over 40,000 artifacts here, from ancient fossils to cultural relics—a vivid history book. We picked interesting exhibits like ancient farming tools and mysterious Ba people artifacts, telling the kids about Wushan’s historical changes and broadening their knowledge.
🌇 Evening: Leisure at Ningjiangdu
The sunset at Ningjiangdu is stunning! The river water is crystal clear, and there are large shady trees along the shore. We ran and played with the kids on the riverside grass, feeling the river breeze and enjoying the beautiful view—it was truly relaxing.

😋 Wushan has so many delicious foods. My favorites are Wushan grilled fish, jade jelly noodles, jade corn cakes, steamed buns, and Wushan crispy plums…

🏠 Accommodation recommendation ~ Muya · In the Clouds ☁️
It’s like “living inside the scenery.” Open the window and you see endless mountain ranges ⛰️, a painting wherever you look. Sitting on the tatami in the room, sipping afternoon tea 🫖 while watching the clouds roll by, all the joy of the trip is hidden in this moment of tranquility!
