Three Gorges Cruise | Stand on the Peak of the Three Gorges with "China National Geographic"

A 5-day, 4-night Century Voyage Yangtze River Three Gorges cruise journey, with my heart still shouting about the magnificent landscapes and great achievements of our motherland.
I absolutely have to recommend this cruise route, which brought us into the Yangtze River as if it were a textbook. From poetry, mythology, and legends to modern engineering projects, everything is connected, allowing children to immerse themselves and truly experience it. It’s really suitable for elementary school kids to explore.
The Century Voyage is like a moving castle on the river. Along the way, you don’t just see the scenery; the cruise also features a collaboration with China National Geographic showcasing Yangtze River cultural photography, appreciating the natural ecology and human history from multiple perspectives. As soon as you board, you get an overview of the journey’s story, adding to the anticipation.
The cruise also includes a branch of the Chongqing Library and an exhibition area of the Chongqing China Three Gorges Museum collection. Every frame on the ship feels like a three-dimensional textbook, allowing children to immerse themselves in touring the Three Gorges and fall in love with them.
Route:
Yichang Zigui Port - Three Gorges Dam (Three Gorges Project Museum, Closure Memorial Park) - Xiling Gorge - Shennv Stream - Wu Gorge - Qutang Gorge - Peak of the Three Gorges - Fengdu Ghost City - Chongqing Chaotianmen.

Three Gorges Dam:
Starting the journey at the Three Gorges Dam: feeling its history from ancient to modern at the Three Gorges Museum. With the texts and photo explanations inside, the learning is far more convincing than textbooks. Although heavy rain prevented us from taking photos with the dam, all the awe remains deeply in the children’s minds.

Shennv Stream:
After passing Xiling Gorge and arriving at Wu Gorge, we switched to a small boat to cruise inside. The gorge is deep and tranquil. Sleeping Beauty, Wushan Clouds, Great Man Peak, Rising Cloud Peak, Jingtan Peak... Listening to locals tell their stories, we felt the culture within the mountains.

Peak of the Three Gorges:
Only standing here can you truly understand “The light boat has passed through thousands of mountains” 🏞️ Surrounded by endless green mountains, clouds drifting by, at this moment we stood at the center of an ink painting. On National Day, we climbed to the peak of the Three Gorges and waved the national flag.

Fengdu Ghost City:
Passing through the Ghost Gate, walking the Yellow Springs Road, looking back at the Hometown Viewing Platform, the judge statues in the Yama Hall stand solemnly. Chinese mythology didn’t scare the children; instead, they sincerely felt the long history of the ancient Fengdu city.

From the dangers of Xiling, the beauty of Wu Gorge, to the majesty of Qutang, we spent 5 days and 4 nights completing this magnificent “Yangtze River Three Gorges poetic and picturesque corridor.”
Hearing the cruise introduction, we learned that their European cruise - Century Star - will set sail next August, perhaps another new study tour!~
