May Day Trip｜Visiting the Pure Land of Buddhism - Foguang Temple

Shanxi is a province with many historical relics. In addition to the famous Yungang Grottoes, there are many amazing ancient buildings and the few remaining Tang Dynasty wooden structures in the country. Foguang Temple is a relatively small tourist attraction due to its remote location. The entire temple is built along the central axis, which is very symmetrical and magnificent. The most famous is the East Hall on the steps, which is one of the only three complete wooden structures from the Tang Dynasty that survived the An-Shi Rebellion. In addition, the Manjusri Hall is also very distinctive. It was built using the column reduction method, with only four pillars supporting the entire roof. It is not only quiet and elegant but also very cool👍

There is also a big dog named Erliang in the temple. It got its head stuck in the door that it had bitten through. It’s so funny!
