Hebei's "Little Huangshan" Secret Realm Unveiled! 12 Kilometers of Hiking, Enjoy the Wild Charm and Awe of the Mountains Alone

Who says holidays are only for crowded places? Near Heiyagou Village in Longquanguan Town, Baoding, Hebei, there is a paradise for hiking enthusiasts—around the "Cat Village"! Here, parking and trails are free, yet you can experience climbing iron ladders, passing through caves, and strolling across vast meadows, as if stepping into a painting of "Hebei's Little Huangshan"!

The total distance is 12 kilometers, a 7.5-hour challenge, with a cumulative ascent of 1,073 meters and descent of 1,076 meters. The terrain is diverse: cement roads, rocky steps, mountain dirt paths, iron ladders and chains, forest trails... every step offers new scenery! Towering cliffs of the One-Line Sky, the boundless vastness of the meadows, the quiet depth of pine forests, and the majestic ruggedness of granite mountains make you exclaim, "Nature is the best designer!"

The hiking start point is hidden at the end of the road, with parking on the roadside; 500 meters ahead is the trailhead. The route enters through Anmendongou and exits via Luoquangou, featuring 5 iron ladders, 2 caves (Bee Cave and Louming Cave), and the spectacular small detour at One-Line Sky, where looking up reveals only a narrow strip of sky, as if you can touch the edge of the heavens.

The phone shows the elevation of Lotus Flower Mountain peak as 1,970 meters, but the highest point is actually 2,137 meters. The summit has no marker but offers a unique charm. The 200-meter steep dirt slope on the descent gets your heart racing but is also full of fun. The 4.5-kilometer cement road is far from boring, with mountains, water, and colorful forests making the walk very pleasant. Villagers say the colors peak in late October, so it looks like another visit is needed!

After the hike, why not visit the nearby "Cat Village"? You might even meet some adorable cats! But remember, "Infinite beauty lies in perilous peaks," outdoor activities carry risks, so travel with caution. Such a secret realm—aren't you tempted to explore it?
