🏝Gulongzhong, also known as Longzhong, is located in Xiangyang City, Hubei Province. The scenic area covers 22 square kilometers and is a national key cultural relic protection unit and a national 5A-level tourist attraction.
🏝Gulongzhong has rich cultural landscapes and beautiful natural environments. It was the place where Zhuge Liang, a famous strategist during the Three Kingdoms period, lived in seclusion with his uncle. Zhuge Liang lived here for 10 years, farming and studying. Later, Liu Bei visited him three times to invite him to serve as his advisor.
🏝In the winter of 207 AD to the spring of 208 AD, Liu Bei, stationed in Xinye, visited Longzhong three times on the advice of Xu Shu to meet Zhuge Liang. It was only on the third visit that he met him. Zhuge Liang analyzed the situation of the world for Liu Bei and proposed a strategic plan to first take Jingzhou as a base, then take Yizhou to form a tripartite balance, and finally conquer the Central Plains. It can be said that Longzhong is the origin of the Three Kingdoms culture.
🏝The attractions in Longzhong originated in the Western Jin Dynasty. In the Ming Dynasty, the "Ten Scenic Spots of Longzhong" were formed, including Caolu Pavilion, Geng Tian, Sangu Hall, Xiaohong Bridge, Liujiao Well, Wuhou Temple, Banyue Creek, Laolong Cave, Liangfu Rock, and Baoxi Stone. After the founding of the People's Republic of China, many attractions were built or newly built, such as Longzhong Academy, Zhuge Caolu Pavilion, Yinxiao Villa, Tonggu Terrace, Long Corridor, Guanxing Terrace, Qipan Stone, Qin Terrace, Peacock Village, and Monkey Mountain.
🏝The main peak, Longzhong Mountain, is 306 meters above sea level. Across the valley is Daqi Mountain, which resembles a crouching tiger with one end high and the other end slowly drooping. The mountain is covered with lush forests and bamboo, and the scenery is majestic and deep. At the foot of the mountain, there are springs, ponds, and streams flowing gently.
