First Yao Village 🏘️

We arrived at the First Yao Village of China, walking together under the tall gates that welcomed us with bright colors and symbols of the past 🎋 We followed the stone paths between stilted wooden houses, listening to the sounds of drums and songs that echoed softly in the air 🥁🎶 We watched villagers dressed in traditional clothes, and we smiled, knowing we were stepping into a place where the old ways still lived. We pointed at the patterns on the walls and the bright cloths hanging to dry everything told a story, and we wanted to hear them all.

We joined in when music started, clapping and laughing together under the open sky 🌤️ We tasted local food, shared small bites, and tried to remember every flavor. We stood side by side, watching the mountains that cradled the village, feeling both the joy of the moment and the weight of so much history around us. We promised ourselves we’d return because places like this, where culture and heart stay alive, are worth holding onto 💛🏡
