My trip to Liangshan just ended was truly breathtaking! This hidden gem in southwestern Sichuan boasts the Qionghai Wetland, a wetland rivaling Erhai Lake, and the mysterious Yi culture. Two days simply isn't enough! Sharing my exclusive itinerary for those planning a trip!
Day 1: Xichang Qionghai Cultural Tour
🌊[Qionghai Wetland Park Cycling]
It truly lives up to its reputation as the "Pearl of the Plateau"! Rent a bike and cycle along the lake. The blue sky and white clouds are reflected on the surface, and the reeds swaying on the shore are breathtakingly beautiful. Every photo is a wallpaper-worthy sight! We recommend starting from Bird Watching Island, passing Moon Bay, and ending at the small fishing village. The entire journey is approximately 15 kilometers.
🚴♀️Bike rental: Shared bikes are available by scanning a QR code at the park entrance.
⏰Suggested time: 4-6 PM (avoid the midday sun).
📸Photo spot: Moon Bay plank path (stunning sunset).
🐒[Lushan Scenic Area]
It truly lives up to its reputation as the "First Mountain in Southern Sichuan"! Take the cable car up the mountain for panoramic views of Qionghai Lake, where wild monkeys roam (⚠️be careful not to hold food in your hands). Don't miss the thousand-year-old cypress trees and observation deck at Guangfu Temple.
🚡 Cable car ticket: 35 yuan one-way / 55 yuan round-trip
⏰Opening hours: 7:30 AM - 6:00 PM
💡 Tip: Wear non-slip shoes! Some trails are steep.
🌌 [Torch Square Night Banquet]
Immerse yourself in Yi culture! After dusk, all 56 torches in the square are lit. Free Yi song and dance performances are held every Friday night. We recommend trying the "Tuotuo Meat" and "Sauerkraut Potato Soup," both all-you-can-eat dishes for 50 yuan per person! Address: Hangtian Avenue, Xichang City
🕺Performance Time: Every Friday 8:00 PM - 9:30 PM
Day 2: In-Depth Yi Cultural Experience
🏞️[Immortal Cave, Anha Yi Village]
A real-life "Grave Robbers' Chronicles" set! This million-year-old cave hides a spectacular stalagmite forest, and with a sheepskin torch-lit Yi guide, the experience is incredibly mysterious! Embroidery and silver jewelry making can be experienced in the Yi village outside the cave.
🎫Admission: 60 yuan for the cave / Folklore experience not included
⏰Suggested Visit: 3 hours
👗Outfit Tip: Bright colors (the lighting inside the cave is stunning)
🏯[Wandering Through Jianchang Ancient City]
A journey through the Ming Dynasty garrison! The well-preserved city walls stretch for 3 kilometers. Climb the Datong Gate for a panoramic view of the bustling city. We recommend buying Yi lacquerware souvenirs at "Lin's Shop"—small jewelry boxes are only 38 yuan!
🚶♀️ Tour Route: Datong Gate → Sipailou → Douya Well
📅Best Time: Early morning or late afternoon (beautiful light and shadows)
🌾[Dashiban Ancient Village]
A new internet-famous spot! The orange walls of Lingying Temple are incredibly photogenic. Rent a Yi costume (20 yuan/hour) and take photos under the ancient walnut tree. The village is packed with hidden gems. Our stay at "Guixin No. 10 Courtyard" was incredibly relaxing, with a breathtaking mountain view from the window.
