The Peng Clan Ancestral Hall in Maopu was initially constructed in the 18th year of the Daoguang era (1838) during the Qing Dynasty and completed by the late Qing period (1890). Upon entering the ancestral hall, visitors are greeted by majestic stone lions standing guard on either side. The courtyard features an exquisitely crafted opera stage with vibrant colors, while the central worship hall exudes solemnity and reverence. The serene side corridors lead to the main hall at the rear, adorned with intricately carved doors, windows, eaves, and partitions showcasing remarkable craftsmanship. During the Liberation War, Liu-Deng Army marched thousands of miles into the Dabie Mountains, passing through and stationing here, establishing a rear hospital and temporary command post. This architectural gem along the ancient Han-Huang Road shines brilliantly as one of the core heritage structures within the Maopu Ancient Building Complex, recognized as a "Henan Provincial Cultural Relics Protection Unit."
