This Guanyin statue is made in high relief, with the sea water and auspicious clouds shaped from far to near, layer by layer, showing the ups and downs of the waves and cleverly highlighting the dynamics of the characters, giving people a strong visual impact and aesthetic enjoyment.
Guanyin wears a phoenix hat, a long silk robe, her dress fluttering in the wind, and her figure is plump and dignified, as if she is crossing the sea from Mount Putuo to save all living beings. The images of the surrounding boy Sudhana, Dragon King, and Vajra King together interpret vivid Buddhist stories. One has to admire the outstanding skills and extraordinary creativity of ancient craftsmen.
