Dengloujiao, located in Jiaowei Township, Xuwen County, Zhanjiang City, Guangdong Province, is the southernmost geographical landmark in China.
Lighthouse Corner was built in 1894 and was once occupied by France and other countries. It was demolished in 1942 and later rebuilt on the site of the old lighthouse.
In 1994, a new 36-meter-high hexagonal lighthouse was built on the side of the old lighthouse.
Yuweisha at Dengloujiao is the confluence of the Qiongzhou Strait and the Beibu Gulf. It has a magical latitude point: 20°13’14” north latitude, known as the origin of love. It is a popular check-in spot.
Next to the corner of the lantern tower is a Lover's Valley, which is composed of wild pineapple forests that have grown on the seashore for hundreds of years.
