A parent-child trip to Yangzhou in March, a relaxing 2-day and 1-night itinerary

Inspired by Li Bai's poem "Going Down to Yangzhou in March," I took my kids on a weekend trip to Yangzhou to experience the slow-paced life.

DAY 1 Homestay ➠ Guangling Ancient City ➠ Dongguan Street ➠ Rest
🚩 Departing from Shanghai, it took 3.5 hours to arrive in Yangzhou at 2pm. We checked in to our homestay "Reconstruction • Bing'ou Hall". We strolled around the homestay, taking photos and having fun. It's based on a century-old Huizhou-style garden complex, where you can feel the beauty of Guangling!
🚩 Next to the courtyard is "Yuan Yi" where you can have afternoon tea☕️
🚩 Dongguan Street: A historical and cultural old street, relatively commercialized. The night view is quite nice. We bought some delicious food to take back to the homestay!

DAY 2 Homestay breakfast ➠ Pishi Street ➠ He Garden ➠ Return
🚩 We had Yangzhou breakfast at the homestay's own restaurant "Bing'ou Hall • Xi Yan", and tried vinegar-flavored frozen pork and shepherd's purse dumplings. We were lucky to get a window seat with a view! The magnolia flowers were in full bloom, attracting many visitors.
🚩 Pishi Street: Just across the road from the homestay is Pishi Street, a creative block with various unique and artistic shops. We ate and drank along the way. The "Yangzhou" wall is here, perfect for taking photos!
🚩 Walk to the end of the street, and you'll reach He Garden in a few minutes. This Chinese garden is known as the best garden of the late Qing Dynasty, and was a filming location for "My Fair Princess" and "Wrong Carriage, Right Groom". March is the magnolia theme month, perfect for taking photos in ancient costumes!
