Yanji People's Park is located at No. 151, Gongyuan Road, Yanji City, Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture, Jilin Province. It is a century-old urban cultural oasis. The park was built in the 33rd year of the Guangxu reign of the Qing Dynasty (1909) at the suggestion of Wu Luzhen, the border affairs supervisor. It was once called "Shangbu Bureau Park" and was officially renamed Yanji People's Park in 1953.
Yanji People's Park is located on the bank of the Yanji River, with beautiful natural scenery, ancient trees, blooming flowers, clear mountains and rivers, and pavilions and towers scattered in an orderly manner. The park is shaded by green trees, with the calm atmosphere of ancient pines and trees, as well as the lively colors of green grass and bright flowers. Walking in the park is like being in a beautiful landscape painting.
It is no exaggeration to say that Yanji People's Park is the most popular comprehensive amusement park for Yanji people. Every day, many people come to the park for leisure and entertainment. There are also Korean women in traditional Korean costumes happily playing waist drums, singing, and dancing, which reminds people of the song "Yanbian People Love Chairman Mao" in those years. The park is a sea of joy. It is not only a park but also a leisure resort full of historical charm and cultural heritage.
