This Guesthouse Brings 'Ideal Travel Accommodation' to Life

Initially, I was just looking for a place close to the river, but this guesthouse turned out to be the embodiment of 'ideal travel accommodation.'

The moment I stepped into the room, I was captivated by the floor-to-ceiling window offering a stunning river view. The water stretched out like a silk ribbon outside the window, making even daydreaming a pleasure. I specifically chose a room with a bathtub, and soaking in warm water at night while watching the lights across the river gradually illuminate, their reflections shimmering on the water, all while listening to soft music in my headphones—this sense of tranquility must be what travel is all about.

Comfort was the most immediate feeling: the bedding was clearly high-quality, and I woke up feeling completely refreshed. The room's amenities were brand new and top-notch, from the smart toilet to the thermostatic shower, all of which were even more convenient than what I have at home. The cleanliness was impeccable—the floors were so polished they reflected light, and not a single strand of hair could be found in the bathroom corners. As someone with a touch of OCD, I was thoroughly satisfied.

The service was equally genuine. When we arrived, it was drizzling, and the hostess was waiting at the door with an umbrella, even handing us clean towels to dry our hands. Upon learning that we wanted to try lacquer fan painting, she went out of her way to arrange a special small class with a local artisan. Walking along the river with the lacquer fan I painted myself, the breeze causing the patterns on the fan to sway, I suddenly felt this trip had gained a personal touch.

During the few days we stayed here, time seemed to slow down. Mornings began with the calls of seagulls, evenings were spent counting passing boats from the bathtub, and in between, I painted fans or lounged on the sofa enjoying the river view. This poetic way of living is perhaps the most enchanting aspect of this guesthouse.
