Comfortable and hassle-free bed and breakfast in Dongshan, Yilan "Dongshanhe"

This trip to Yilan truly allowed me to experience a slow pace of life. I chose the Dongshanhe B&B in Dongshan Township, located at No. 97, East 8th Road, Wuyuan Village. Not far from the Dongshan River, it offers a tranquil and natural setting, perfect for those seeking a relaxing escape from the city.

The Dongshanhe B&B's greatest appeal lies in its family- and pet-friendly nature. With amenities like a miniature train and electric cars, children can immediately engage in playful activities, making it a perfect family getaway. Furthermore, the B&B is pet-friendly, and everyone enjoys taking their pets for walks. The B&B owner and staff are friendly, and each dog is meticulously cared for, ensuring no worries about their pet's adaptation.

The rooms are well-equipped, clean, and bright, and the separate wet and dry bathrooms are a thoughtful touch. In the morning, you can enjoy a Chinese and Western breakfast, featuring authentic Taiwanese congee and side dishes, as well as Western-style toast and fruit, to recharge your batteries. It's a perfect place for families, friends, or even pets.

I highly recommend the lotus pond next to the B&B. From June to September, it blooms in profusion, creating a relaxing morning or evening stroll. Besides Dongshan River, nearby attractions like Meihua Lake and the Luodong Forestry Cultural Park are also accessible by car or bicycle, making for a fulfilling and enjoyable day trip.

This place truly felt like home. The owner and staff are always eager to chat and helpful. For example, when we asked about chartering a car to a tourist attraction, they patiently arranged it. The tranquil environment and beautiful scenery make it a haven for children and pets, perfect for a relaxing break.

Booking Tips: Dongshanhe is a popular family-friendly and pet-friendly B&B. Booking at least two weeks in advance is recommended, especially during peak season (summer vacation and weekends). Driving is the most convenient option, with parking available. Take the train to Dongshan Station, then take a 10-minute taxi. With so many natural attractions nearby, it's best to pack mosquito repellent and a sun hat. Don't over-plan your itinerary; a leisurely stroll is the true way to enjoy Dongshan, Yilan.
