Not in Guilin but in Jiangxi! I've discovered a hidden gem~

Danxia landform, strange peaks and rocks, The Wizard of Oz in the green wilderness 🌲 This is Guifeng in Shangrao, Jiangxi! A World Natural Heritage site + World Geopark + National 5A Tourist Attraction, this little-known treasure keeps surprising me~ Definitely fewer people and beautiful scenery. Avoiding the National Day/Mid-Autumn holidays for off-peak travel was my best choice.

📍 Guifeng Scenic Area, Yiyang, Jiangxi
Transportation: Take the high-speed train to Yiyang Station, then a 20-minute taxi ride directly to the site

🌿 Easy hiking route:
Xiake Line: Divine Turtle Welcomes Guests - Century-old Path - The Wizard of Oz - Heavenly Maiden Scattering Flowers - General’s Tower - Hero Slope - Crape Myrtle Garden (about 3.5 hours)
‼ The whole route is relatively gentle with many photo spots along the way. I recommend The Wizard of Oz, you must go! It feels like entering a forest~

✅ Photo spots:
1⃣ At the foot of Elderly Peak: Shoot upwards to frame people and peaks together, instantly creating stunning shots. No need for posed photos, it naturally tells a story, as if people and mountains are having a timeless conversation at this moment.

2⃣ Jinzhong Peak: After climbing to the top, you get an unexpectedly delightful reward—a rocking horse sways gently in the wind, playing here really feels like returning to childhood.

3⃣ Guifeng Lake: Bamboo rafts glide through clear emerald water. Change into a simple Hanfu, sit at the bow, with your sleeves fluttering in the breeze, perfectly matching the green mountains and waters on both sides.

4⃣ The Wizard of Oz: Stepping into this secret place feels like entering a fairy tale wrapped in green. Sunlight filters through layers of leaves, casting mottled shadows on the ground, with varying shades of green everywhere. The air is filled with the fresh scent of grass and earth, cool and comfortable. Wearing a dress here for photos gives a fairy-like vibe; sisters who love fairy styles must come!

5⃣ Hero Slope: The scenery is absolutely stunning, perfect for shooting post-apocalyptic style photos.

6⃣ Night tour of Guifeng (19:00-20:30): Iron flower and fire pot performances (19:30) + live shows (20:00), holographic projections amaze everyone, every light and shadow hides surprises, so beautiful…

Accommodation recommendation:
This time I stayed at Xiaolu Xianju, escaping the city noise, a rare place to find leisure and tranquility! They offer free shuttle service, and the homestay environment is excellent. All the interior designs have a strong Chinese aesthetic.

‼ Small tips:
✅ Wear bright clothes for photos! They stand out against the Danxia red rock background.
✅ Bring mosquito repellent for the night tour; there are many mosquitoes in the forest.
✅ Check the weather in advance; the scenery is most magical with mist after rain.
✅ Bring your own water and snacks.

"After visiting Guifeng, no need to see other mountains." Hiking, breathing fresh air, and night touring Guifeng… Guifeng in Jiangxi is even more worth visiting than I imagined…
