Here's a fantastic Yokohama city walk itinerary, perfect for a day of exploring!
【City Walk Route】
Anpanman Children's Museum - Landmark Tower - Yokohama Air Cabin (Ropeway) - Yokohama Cosmo World Ferris Wheel - Red Brick Warehouse - Zounohana Park (Elephant's Trunk Park) - Yamashita Park - Yokohama Chinatown
【Transportation】
All these spots are quite close to each other, so you can easily walk between them! 🚶♀️
【Detailed Itinerary】
Anpanman Children's Museum: Opens at 10:00 AM. Head to the second floor via the outdoor stairs to buy tickets (adult admission is 2400 JPY). Once inside, go to the third floor for the Anpanman show. It's mostly parents with kids, and the atmosphere is incredibly lively and immersive! Even if you don't understand Japanese, you'll feel the infectious energy. There are plenty of food, drinks, and play areas inside, making it perfect for families with young children. 👨👩👧👦🥖
Landmark Tower: After leaving the Anpanman Museum, walk through Shin-Takashima Park. In about fifteen minutes, you'll spot the tallest building – that's the Landmark Tower! Look for the Queen's Square building next to it, and then head to the adjacent Landmark Plaza shopping mall (which visually appears in front of the Landmark Tower). On the first floor, you'll find the famous Afuri Ramen, a great spot for lunch! 🍜 After your meal, take the escalator to the third floor of the mall. There's a dedicated exit on the third floor specifically for the Landmark Tower Sky Garden observatory. The admission fee is 1000 JPY. It's a bit like Shanghai's World Financial Center, though it only goes up to the 69th floor. From the top, you can enjoy panoramic views of Yokohama city! Plus, they often have special exhibitions – there was a Pingu exhibit when I visited! 🐧🏙️
