Yokohama|Your Ultimate Guide to Food, Fun, and Shopping at the Newly Renovated World Porters

World Porters was one of the first major shopping malls to recognize the potential of the Minato Mirai area, opening its doors back in 1999. After 25 years, the mall faced aging issues and underwent a complete renovation last year, reopening in July.
During my stay in Yokohama, I visited the mall almost every evening and compiled a list of its standout features.
Unlike typical malls that place their food courts in the basement, World Porters has created a World Food Hall on the first floor. With over 600 seats, it offers a variety of cuisines, including Vietnamese pho, Korean, Singaporean dishes, Taiwanese xiaolongbao, and scallion pancakes. One memorable dish was the flame-grilled hamburger steak, cooked in a high-temperature oven prominently displayed in the food hall, giving it a high-end restaurant vibe.
Fans of capsule toys and models will find joy on the second floor, where the BANDAI NAMCO Cross Store has expanded its operations, complete with VR gaming facilities.
The third floor caters to young fashion enthusiasts, featuring trendy clothing and vintage items.
On the fourth floor, you'll find the Visual Art Maze and VS Park, while the upper floors house a large cinema operated by Aeon.
After several days of exploring, the only downside I noticed was the absence of a large supermarket. However, one undeniable perk of this location is the stunning night view of Yokohama Port.
