🖼️ Yokosuka Museum of Art — A spectacular art space surrounded by sea and greenery

📝What's it like?

Located in Kannonzaki Park in Yokosuka, Kanagawa Prefecture, the glass-fronted building is popular as a "museum that blends the sea and the forest." It opened in 2007 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the city's founding. The museum has a collection of about 5,000 pieces, mainly paintings, prints, and sculptures related to Yokosuka and the Miura Peninsula, and the Taniuchi Rokuro Museum also has a permanent exhibition of nostalgic magazine cover art.

The view of Tokyo Bay from the round windows and open corridors inside and outside the building is spectacular. On sunny days, you can stroll around the grassy area "Sea Square" and the rooftop garden for free.
