Make sure to visit Yuncheng this summer🏮, this low-key Shanxi town hides so many surprises! Follow my 2-day 1-night itinerary to taste all the local delicacies and explore all the ancient sites, and you will definitely fall in love with this treasure city~
💫 Itinerary:
Day 1:
📍Jiezhou Guandi Temple: The largest Guandi Temple in the world, with stunning red walls and green tiles (Address: Wuyi Road, Jiezhou Town, Yanhu District)
📍Guanque Tower: The birthplace of the famous poem "The sun sets behind the mountains, the Yellow River flows into the sea," offering a spectacular view of the Yellow River
📍Yongji Pujiao Temple: The origin of the story of the Western Chamber, a romantic landmark where you can get a love charm
🍜 Lunch recommendation: Jiezhou Lamb Soup (near Guandi Temple, Jiezhou Town)
Day 2:
📍Yuncheng Salt Lake: Known as the "China Dead Sea," comparable to Chaka Salt Lake, where you can experience floating activities in summer
📍Shun Emperor Mausoleum: Experience the origin of Chinese civilization, with well-preserved ancient sites within the mausoleum area
📍Li Family Courtyard: The top mansion in Shanxi, a grand residence of Shanxi merchants

🌟 Useful tips:
1. The best time to photograph Yuncheng Salt Lake is after 4 PM when the light is most beautiful
2. Guandi Temple is very popular with worshippers, so it’s recommended to visit in the morning
3. Local noodle dishes are served in large portions, so 2-3 people can share one order
4. June to September is the peak tourist season in Yuncheng, so book hotels in advance
