Little Maldives丨Lushan West Sea

Avoiding the holiday crowds, I took a weekend trip from Wuhan - just a 3-hour drive to experience 2 days of island living at Lushan West Lake. Honestly, traveling without visiting tourist attractions was incredibly refreshing!
If you're not in a hurry, don't take the highway the entire way. Exit at Longgang toll station and drive along the national road for a while - the scenery along the way is absolutely beautiful!
It was cloudy when we set off, but I didn't expect overcast weather to have its own unique beauty. The distant mountains connected with the emerald waters of West Lake, and the view was truly therapeutic!
Photos 1-3: We stopped at a viewing platform near the lake. With its elevated position and panoramic views, the sea breeze lifted my skirt as if I were standing in a painting - the photos turned out gorgeous!
Photos 4-6: We passed by a tea plantation where we met some tea pickers. After asking, we found out we could take photos for free! Haha, who understands the joy of free experiences better...
Friendly reminder: Please don't pick the tea leaves when taking photos - they're the fruits of someone else's hard labor!
Photos 7-10: In the evening, we checked into the Yongguichuan Private Island Resort Hotel at West Lake, which was a delightful surprise. The hotel has its own exclusive waterfront, with well-preserved surroundings. The water looks like it has a built-in filter - even casual phone photos look amazing! We dined at the hotel, and if the weather is good, you can enjoy dinner while watching the sunset!
The next day, we slept in, had breakfast at the hotel, and took more photos. The place is incredibly photogenic (if you're interested, check out my next post about hotel photography).
In the afternoon, we visited the Lushan West Lake Art Center (Photos 11-13), just a 15-20 minute drive from our accommodation. The Art Center has a fantastic environment, and importantly, it's not crowded and has free admission! Every space is perfectly designed. Remember to go around 4-5 PM when the lighting makes everyone look more beautiful in photos!
After taking plenty of satisfying pictures, we headed back home. What a wonderful trip!
